Wearing Your Appliance

Wearing your appliance is integral to keeping your teeth protected and aligned. Make sure to wear your appliance every night. If you stop wearing it for as little as one week, your teeth can shift out of place and your appliance will no longer fit. If it stops fitting, make sure to contact us.

Before putting your appliance in, make sure to brush and floss your teeth to keep out any food or residue that could cause decay.

Cleaning Your Appliance

Keeping your appliance clean can help prevent bacteria growth. To clean your appliance, clean it using a medium-bristle toothbrush and soap as soon as you take it out in the morning. Make sure it dries completely before storing it in its case (water can facilitate bacteria growth throughout the day).

Avoid using hot water, toothpaste, whitening gel, or mouthwash on your appliance since this can cause the material to break down.
